Porch Fest

Porch fest in Ithaca, New York, is one of the most unique events that I've been to.  From 12 to 6 over 25 porches throughout the quaint streets of downtown Ithaca host a band, mostly local, switching lineups every hour.  It's amazing, walking through the neighborhoods, children running around everywhere, seeing the townies in their element, jamming to amazing local tunes across all genres.  The streets of Ithaca are unlike any other town.. such beautiful, historic homes, wonderfully overgrown gardens everywhere.. something that we don't get to see too often being on campus all the time.  The energy down here was great, everyone swaying to the beats of various bands, such respect and pleasure felt towards each group.  Today, I wanted to shoot my amazing friend Danielle, always the life of the party, with a smile that lights up everything around her.  The presence she conveys is always warm and understanding, and even though she didn't think so, she's quite the perfect model to shoot! We all loved experiencing a different side of this lovely town we call home, connecting with the locals more, and having a nice, carefree afternoon.  Enjoy!
