Lasterday

When I was little, instead of saying yesterday I would say lasterday, forming my own word for what I was trying to say. This series of photos feels like lasterday for me. Back when the summer was still young and ripening each day. Back when school felt like a distant idea. Where the days melted together and I forgot which one it happened to be. With summer a fading memory now, it is nostalgic to look back on these and remember some of those laughs, those sun-filled moments, those perfect times. Time to make some more I guess, but here's to lasterday.

JOY

Joy. It's that wonderful feeling when it's as if your body is buzzing from bottom to top, like you might even overflow, or combust, from the sensation inside you. It's one of those things in life you just chase after. It's the thing of memories. And it's nearly as amazing when you are able to capture this feeling. When I look back on this quick shoot we did as the summer winded down to an end, all I see is joy. Being in a place you love, with people you love and are comfortable around is what it's all about. Laughing at the little things, soaking up that sweet, sweet air, and maybe even running through a field, hand-in-hand. Just taking it all in. That is joy.

Hideaway

Photography by Molly, Maggie, and Kelly Nash

Here we are, finally getting around to posting some vacation photos. It's been weeks since we packed up our car and headed north to Door County, Wisconsin, but these pictures take us back. The air up there was so clear, and the nature surrounding us just seemed to much more saturated in color, so much more alive. Towards the end of our trip, we came upon this magical place hidden behind a thick forest that only our adventurous souls were dying to explore. Where the water met the earth, became the most beautiful coves and crevices we could ever find. There was no one around, nothing but the waves hitting the shoreline. Our time was short too, as we watched the sun fade from a brightly lit orb, to a watercolor painting across the sky. There was no better way to end our vacation than us three, together, in the most perfectly imperfect place ever. Our hideaway.
